The brass has been lightly polished, with some of the patina still present in the creases to accentuate the details. The brass has no cracks or gouges. She uses 5 standard-base light bulbs up to 100 watts or use LED bulbs for any brightness you like. Here are details about the restorer: The late Bob Daly was a marathon runner and worked in his family’s burgler alarm business until he started his own antique lighting restoration business in Fenton, Michigan in the 1980’s: “Historic Lighting Restoration Services and Sales”. He was restoring antique lighting for almost 40 years. This beautiful light was thoughtfully and skillfully restored by Bob to the tiniest detail. From new wiring to cleaning to touching up, buffing and polishing, Bob was a master at the details. He loved what he did and was excited to share these restored works of art with the next generation (see a newspaper article picture of him in photo #24). He worked with loving care, and you can be proud to own one of his restorative works of art. We are certainly proud to have acquired his amazing collection, as we also restore and sell antique lighting and love to share it with all of you who want true antique pieces that have historic personality in your homes and buildings.
